Invacare Softform Premier Glide

The Invacare® Softform® Premier Glide is a replacement mattress designed to provide exceptional pressure reduction and to positively contribute to a reduction in shear and friction forces, when used in conjunction with an electric profiling bed. When a bed is profiled, the patented design of this mattress allows the top surface to retain its optimum properties for effectively supporting the patient, while the base of the mattress separately conforms to the bedframe. The Softform® Premier Glide is suitable for use with those who are considered to be at 'Very High Risk' of developing pressure ulcers. Waterlow score 25*.

Features include two-way stretch waterproof polyurethane cover with high frequency welded seams and a full length flap concealing the zip.

Fully detachable top cover and toughened polyurethane base:The toughened PU coated base protects the mattress against metal bedframes and top cover is easily removed for laundering and foam inspection.

• Rotate-only turning cycle will increase product lifetime.

* Essential nursing care is pivotal in pressure ulcer prevention. This mattress will positively contribute to the outcome of a pressure ulcer prevention care plan. Education, clinical judgement and action based planning based on vulnerability are fundamental factors in the prevention of pressure ulcers. The Waterlow score is a formal method of assessing risk from pressure ulcer development, and should be used in conjunction with an informal assessment (informed nursing judgement). Informal assessment is considered to be of greater importance and clinical value.

 Warranties issued by Invacare are only relevant when both the Invacare mattress foam and Invacare mattress cover are used together. If either component is separated and used with other supplier parts, the warranty immediately becomes void.
